Nice looking engine bay!

My tank doesnt vent via the top lid like this.

XPNSD IT 01-08-2014 05:39 PM

Awesome! Can't believe how fast the turn around is on these parts. I take it @DEpointfive0 will be your test fit?

AzSpeng 01-08-2014 05:45 PM

Thank you XPNSD IT, Yes Andrew will be testing a bunch of our stuff.

AzSpeng 01-08-2014 07:01 PM

yep Andrew came to me begging for me to use his car for testing...how could I say no to him? ahhh im just playin!

XPNSD IT 01-08-2014 07:48 PM

Hahaha now we get to blame him for any delays...not that there will be any!

AzSpeng 01-08-2014 07:54 PM

who said there were going to be any delays?

KramChaos 01-08-2014 08:20 PM

Awesome work and photos. As an engineer in a machine shop, this thread is geek pron... :yum:

AzSpeng 01-08-2014 08:44 PM

im by far not the best engineer/machinist/programmer...but i can hold my own....eventually id like to hire people that have more talent than myself...just takes time folks! stay tuned...about to post pics of 2nd op minus ball mill and corner rounder/chamfer/threadmill stuff...looks neat so far!

mab864 01-09-2014 07:56 AM

Wow... that is ridiculously cool. When that part is done being milled, give us a shot of the same piece with the cap sitting on it so we can see what the finished part will look like. Really nice looking. Thanks for all your work and for keeping us informed.

AzSpeng 01-09-2014 08:14 AM

Thank you! As soon as I know the product fits perfectly in the car ill machine another one thats 100% done and post up pics. Should be later today.

Didnt finish the last ops, but you guys get the idea ;) Fitment was SPOT ON!!! so ill be running all of these tomorrow morning!

XPNSD IT 01-09-2014 10:12 PM

Looks good! Like the caps too, please make matching set for everything else under the hood! Maybe do an engraved label for each one too. Like a symbol for oil, coolant, brake fluid etc..

AzSpeng 01-09-2014 10:15 PM

Already on it ;) fitment was super nice....I am very pleased with the fitment, Tonight we run the first op on the real deal. they take roughly 30 min each.

Ron 01-09-2014 10:31 PM

 will the top surface look like that or will it be flat?

AzSpeng 01-09-2014 10:39 PM

the top surface will be like this but the recessed area where the sharp edges are, will have a fillet (aka radius) on the inside. then the outside will get a corner rounder that puts an outside fillet.

wont be flat like a piece of sheet metal but will actually look like a cnc machined part. Since the mounting tabs are cnc machined, they will mount perfectly EVERY TIME.

phunk 01-09-2014 10:50 PM

nice you went much taller on the billet section than i was figuring. I assumed 3/8" or 1/2" billet and the rest sheet metal

AzSpeng 01-09-2014 10:57 PM

NO way man!! I have a sturdy/powerful machine...lets make this bad boy sing!

The gopro screwed up lastnight so no video....I have a program running right now for a part a customer wants. soon as its done ill setup for the big blocks again and take some video for everyone to watch.

Using 1000psi TSC so not sure how much you can see...it will be eventful at least!

mab864 01-10-2014 12:04 AM

That looks awesome. Can't wait. Thanks for putting together the pic I asked for. Even better that it's the car.

AzSpeng 01-10-2014 12:07 AM

next few days im going to add it to our website for pre order. We will have 30 available (20 are already spoken for) We wont charge your card until its ready to ship

(this is our policy with every order you place with us in the future, we will never bill your card until the product is ready to ship)

Ron 01-10-2014 12:11 AM

Do we know what the price is going to be for this and the other products?

AzSpeng 01-10-2014 12:17 AM

100 million dollars!

AzSpeng 01-10-2014 12:18 AM

id like to keep this around $410 shipped. really depends on waterjet and welding time which ill know in a few weeks.

we just purchased a brand new waterjet btw!

GaleForce 01-10-2014 07:45 AM

If my name is not already on the list, put me down for one of the 30. :tiphat:

EZT 01-10-2014 08:27 AM

That's beautiful, gets me real excited for the potential shift knob.

Even though I don't even own a 370z, I am glad to see a vendor like AzSpeng that jumped right into the community and immediately provided products. I wish you success.

AzSpeng 01-12-2014 01:21 AM

Thank you Eclipz! What cars do you have ;) Maybe we can jump into that community also!

phunk 01-12-2014 03:01 AM

:icon18:
I kid, I kid. But yeah... Darin works waaaayyyyyyyyy too much... and you too Phunk!!! Get some sleep!

(And sample me out a dual fuel pump anti starve kit thingy, lol)

alphajam 01-12-2014 12:50 PM

AZ, I would also like to be put down for one of the first 30! A cool little idea would be to number them somewhere like a batch id or something along those lines. What is your current white board list as well. I might have some more ideas that may have not been covered.

AzSpeng 01-12-2014 12:57 PM

check the very first post. thats the projects being worked on right now. I have to apologize as some of these projects will get sort of delayed because the new waterjet delivery is being delayed until the 21st. We are trying to bump that delivery date up but its out of our control at this point.

as for your ideas..post them up in this thread!!

Okay, here it goes.
1) Strut bar
2) Intake Plenum ( sorry, I have to sneak this in as many times as I can)
3) PS Reservoir in the same fashion as the coolant overflow tank
4) Have a "burnt look" option for the strut bar or maybe all parts
5) Front cooling plate

Thanks for listening!

AzSpeng 01-12-2014 01:23 PM

strut bar was suggested and has potential to make it on the white board. I just need to think of a way to make it that I will be happy with it. (design, engineering, looks etc..)

intake plenum is on the board, ps reservoir is on the board.

What is the front cooling plate?
