Default Cruise control limit? Wont go above 90mph

Hey so I was driving from kentucky to new york today and found that awesome highway where I could just go 100mph for good 200 miles non stop. But for some reason my cruise control just wouldn't go above 90mph, it works fine at below speeds. Is there an actual limit or theres something wrong with it and I should check it out? I have 2000 miles left under warranty so trying to fix as many things as possible

I would never use cruise over 80. Too many people out there on the roads that have no idea of what they're doing. Things can happen pretty fast at 100 mph.

All Nissans are now limited to 80. My '10 Altima was also limited to 80. Found that out when I was driving from Texas to NorCal lol.

Cruise control is limited to 90 only. 100 is just unsafe.

Some of you should never come to Germany if 100 scares you.
Ive been on cruise in my Audi at 120mph +. Training and actually paying attention as you drive go a long way to enjoying speed in the right conditions.

I will never own a car like this in the US until something changes. We have roads there dying for higher speed limits out West. Driver training and habits/discipline in the US are crap. Speed is not a problem.

Driving in Germany will open your eyes to what is possible. An open uncrowded road in the Z with the nice brakes and good summer tires 100mph is nothing and is safe. If you cant deal with that as a driver, get a Prius or an Accord.

Wait, wait. 100 is unsafe, but 90's ok? Where exactly is the dividing line? 94.76152 mph?

Any speed can be unsafe. Hire a limo and a driver, making sure the backseat for you is a Kevlar cell

I laugh when I see people who own 300+hp cars put down speed. Sell it please and do us all a favor and drive something that doesnt scare you or intimidate you at 1/3 throttle.

I don't think anyone is scared of speed or putting it down. You tout driver skill and attentiveness/responsibility. Well using cruise control at those high rates of speeds is the exact opposite of that. I Agree with others, 100 is nothing for this car but its better to do it without cruise control because you have more control as the driver that way.

So I engage the cruise control and turn off my brain and forget where the brake pedal is. Really?? My hands are also still on the wheel as well. Its about as unsafe as not using it is.
Cruise control saves driver fatigue as well. That also matters. Maintaining speed with your foot or cruise control is the same thing. Cruise control in my GTI here engages at all speeds. Clearly the Germans think otherwise on the issue and rightfully so.

Driving in Europe and driving in the US are two different things. In the US, you have people reading book, newspapers, etc.. I've seen women putting on makeup, men shaving, you name it. And if you can believe it, talking or texting on a cell phone. Yes, it's true, it's not against the law in the US, in some places!

I've driven on the autobahn. People there know how to drive, but I still wouldn't use cruise control at over 100 mph. And I'd love to see your research into how using cruise control saves driver fatigue.
