But seriously, 800lbs is a ridiculous amount of weight...its 24% off. How can I be somewhat insightful here...hmm... At 2515lbs and 332hp it has a power/weight ratio of .13hp/lb or 7.57lb/hp. That is the same as 290kg/ton. Cars that are in this range include: Morgan Aero 8: 4.5s to 60 and 12.7 quarter Marcos LM500: 4.7s to 60 Ferrari 575 Maranello: 4.2s to 60 and 12.5 quarter Aston Martin V8 Vantage AC Cobra 427 2001 Acura NSX V6 4.5 12.9 1993 Dodge Viper RT/10 4.5 13.2 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 4.5 12.9 So if Forged were to throw a seat and run it at the track, expect something along the lines of a 4.4 0-60 and a 12.5 quarter. Thats if they didn't add any power.... |
its quite crazy to think of it like that - but im close to throwing all my **** out the car and going for a spin
|
that's nuts....lol

That's the kind of stuff I like to see ;) |
Can't wait to see the results of you guys putting in one of your built blocks with higher compression and forged internals. I think with the gains that have been seen from just installing the Stillen breathing mods and no tune, you guys should have no problem cracking 350whp on this baby with your motor modifications and a custom CBE with a tune/supporting mods. 8500 RPM Redline anyone? What a beast this could be. :eekdance:

Are you gonna stick with the stock gears?
|
Hey Sharif, on another thread, we were talking about potential weight savings from de-pining unnecessary wiring... did you guys already pull wiring? how much weight do you think this saved?
Also, are you going to remove or replace the bumper supports with lighter weight setup? |

All the uneeded harnesses are unplugged, depinned, and removed. Not saving much weigh there, but it does clean things up nicely. |
I think we have done almost everything we can on weight savings. We had the car up on the lift late today and were struggling to find even the smallest part that we could remove. The car was obviously designed to be as light as possible.

and what was it?
