noticed some oil leaking onto my muffler. Pics attached...what is this?

Yeah, I know. Always used the diff in previous cars too. It sure would be F-ed up if it wasn't up to it. Probably best to minimize time pushing on it.

i read somewhere not to due that since its partly aluminum........

after thinking about it i do remember hitting some massive bumps/uneven pavement with heavy sh1t in my hatch. the added weight and impact might have broke em.... still not sure.

I have jacked up my car a few times (~3) using the rear differential because the service manual says that is an acceptable jack point. I always immediately put the car on jack stands, of course.

Not sure where this image came from, but the rear differential is clearly labeled as the Garage Jack Point (rear)....

we do.

ive always thought it was safe to do but i cant afford to replace the rear subframe if it fugs up the bushing again. hopefully a reliable fix for the bushing is coming out soon.
