I just got a new 370z sports package and Ive saved 5 grand for future mods. I wanna know what other people would buy with that money and see what the best stuff for my buck would be.

Im thinking maybe..

Stillen exhaust
Stillen headers
Berk hfc
*Not sure what suspension setup
Pulleys
Cams?
Gen 3 intake
A new set of rims and tires after my current ones need change

anyone else know what else i could do? im not very knowledgeable about cars; i just want my car to be as badass as it can get

Thanks crew,

Grant

I already have...
-BC BR series coilovers
-Rear camber arms
-Berk HFC's (not installed yet)
Deciding on an exhaust and oil cooler next, along with track ready brake pads to swap around for track duty. That isn't quite $5k but this is the path I am taking.

I guess if you take into account that I will be getting better tires when the stockers go bald then it would be close to $5k.

My 2 cents

Just look at the items listed in my signature....plus the labor hours.....and I've already spent a total of $4853.23. Not including the fact the coilovers and the rear fog light are still pending installation so more labor hours @ $99 coming so I'll be exceeding the $5K mark shortly.

From the Stillen website:

You are losing horsepower and torque without STILLEN's new Grounding Kits. Today's engine management systems utilize hundreds of sensors and in some cases over 12 onboard computers that constantly monitor all parameters of the engine and powertrain.

Installing STILLEN's Grounding Kit ensures that sensors and computers are not affected by power surges that can drain performance. This ensures that all wire diameters are optimal for amperage and current travel distance.

These kits feature 8-gauge copper wire, gold plated connectors along with 4-gauge & 8-gauge ring connectors, and are developed specifically for your application. Available in silver or red.

These grounding kits will also improve the shifting on automatic transmission vehicles, and in most cases noticeably improve shift times and reduce lag.

Direct link:

STILLEN : STILLEN Grounding Kit

I had it installed just yesterday along with the lightweight pulley and it does seem to shift a bit easier and smoother. As I put more miles on it I'm sure I'll notice more of a difference. Hope this helps!

I wondered about that myself for my area but luckily one of the sponsors on this site is in Maryland (about 30 miles from me) called Altered Atmosphere. I sent them a few pm's and actually visited their place before I started purchasing my upgrade items. They've been really great.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the TX area but I bet if you posted a new thread under the Texas section I bet someone will be able to help. I have photos of my car after the upgrade in my profile and also Altered uploaded some pictures here:

for 5000 dollars,

i would get HFC's from berk
an exhaust from Fast Intentions Inc
an intake system and grounding wires also.
and a set of headers.

that's all i would want, not much left for a new set of rims...lol...or maybe buy used

Any extreme performance summer tire is going to have more grip than these max performance summer tires.

As of right now I plan to go with:
-Bridgestone RE-11 265/35/19 up front
-Nitto NT-05 275/35/19 in the rear

Welcome, another Houston owner, not really sure on the best shops in town yet either. If you want to talk to a few 370z owners & some 350z owners you should come out to Coffee & Z's. A few guys there have had some good work done on their cars and might know some solid shops in town, plus you get to meet some other owners.

If I was dropping 5k right now, I would try to find a solid balance between performance and handling. You probably will not be able to go all out for 5k but you can get a solid base going and add more later.
