Default Launch Control

Mmmm kinda looked around the forum and did some research, I know there's a launch control/2step that you can get thru GTM

Was wondering, because I was not able to find anyone talk or say anything about this. Well, if there are, then I'm sorry for those who tries bashing on me for not using the "Search" tab.

Anyways to the point, I tried looking around I was unable to find anything. Has anyone been able to set up a launch control with an Uprev tune? Similar to the Valet map that is installed it limits you to rev to a certain point, I've read about that some people usually just switches back and fourth using Valet and to street/race mode to launch it. I'm one of those who does not have the luxury in switching maps since I have a different steering wheel >_< so I am basically stuck in race mode 24/7.

Has anyone been able to somehow get a launch control working thru uprev without needing to swap maps?

Thanks in advance guys.

You need the stock steering wheel bro because switching maps is through the cruise control.

Unless there is a module out there that can just control/hook up into the cruise control idk how else it would be able to change.

This is the only reason why I didn't get an aftermarket wheel.

Or you can go with the Racelogic launch control and Traction Control system.

or figure out how to extend your cruise control wires, reconnect and hide the switch somewhere under the dash or where ever so you would be able to switch maps.just a thought

I've been wondering the same thing but haven't seen any info when searching.

Hoping that you can do this via uprev.

What are you talking about? A launch map? If thats what your talking about then you, you can do this. I have a launch map. Search google for 2 step up rev or launch and it will bring up a video of a sentra doing it.

its a little different from the Z but same concept. When you get a tune, ask for one of your maps to be a Launch map and tell them the rpm you want it set at.

+rep for me lol

If you do the UpRev tune, do you sacrifice your cruise control, or can you still use it? It would be great if there were just some combos to switch maps, and still retain that functionality.

Yeah.... I can usually hold my own appetite without needing a device to control it.

If you drag the car launch control for 2 step is needed, either to lower/raise your standing limiter to what you want to launch for ease/consistency. You can do without it, but it's more consistent with a limiter than standing there trying to balance your rpm while depressing a heavy duty clutch.
