you never have to change your oil. in grand trismo my z has like 20 k miles and i havent changed the oil and it runs amazing =p

Thing makes me laugh often is people will spend tons of money on synthetic oil and then use a cheap crappy oil filter. Oil filter in my opinion is more critical than brand of synthetic oil that is approved for our cars.
If you have a good filter and your putting mostly highway miles on your car there is no reason you can't go for 5000 miles safely. I'm not a fan of keeping contaminants in motor much longer than that.
