Im not yet familiar with the Z heads/Vvel yet but if you're going to do cams you might as well do head work. Working the flow of the heads is the secret to hp on na engines. Im surprised this isnt discussed more often in this forum. I know people have mentioned that the vvel tuning hasnt been cracked yet. I do not understand why this isnt a priority for the shops with the resources. Ive head work done on most of my cars including those with forced induction and its a night and day difference. Some Ive sourced out and some work I did myself.

Did you do headwork on the 370 though? by all accounts, the 350 and 370 heads are already there.

How do you know they're already there? Did you do any bench flow comparisons? Ive never seen any flow charts for the Z heads. All I see is a lot of he said/she said. Its something to look into. Unless a shop has done these test I dont just take anyones word for it.

I'm pretty certain i've seen Motordyne flow testing the heads and finding nothing.

Did Motordyne do a before and after test ?? or is this a visual verification ??

Can you do even do head work on the VVEL valves without screwing up the calibration? I haven't heard of anyone messing with it yet...

I was talking to the owner at track forged in Oregon about my winter build (mentioned the JUN exhaust cams to him) and he mentioned porting the heads and that they make a huge difference which I understand. He didn't mention anything about the VVEL having an issue but we both were "brainstorming" about the idea of how the VVEL motors would react to it. Hopefully someone does it before me so if it goes bad I can back out of the idea but if they don't then I will be the first :/ oh well, someone has to find out eventually.

I just died waiting for this thread to go somewhere.

Second scenario:Zuperman test drove the car. got so excited with the new power level he just added with those cams, the car drifts, and smashes two other cars. He still ended up in jail and can't reply.

He is doing some other stuff to his car. he just dropped a good amount on exterior stuff. so maybe he needs to save money for the labor or he just doesnt trust anyone to do the labor.

So he just wasted money on the cams to not install them?

Agreed, I know we aren't all the best at patience but I had my exhaust sitting for 2 months before I coyld find a shop willing to mess with it, cams are a whole different ballpark...patience grasshoppers...

Maybe he had it done and it added like 90hp and he does not want to tells us so he can have the fastest NA 370Z around.

loooooool @ red6speed, soory guys for the hold up, like many of you have already speculated, i am having a really hard time finding someone to get these installed over here, it was kinda stupid of me to order these and not keeping that in account, trust me i am anxious to get these installed more than you guys but dont wanna risk messing around with this mod when i feel that the guy who is going to install these is not capable, again guys i am sorry for keeping you waiting on this mod believe me if i had a capable shop to install them id already have them installed yesterday will keep you guys posted with any developments.

Maybe an eager technician in the US will fly out to your place just to install them for you!
