Default How to Downshift with SRM?

When I downshift I can hear/see the revs, but should I be downshifting into the next gear "before" those revs drop? It always seems like there's no point in the SRM because by the time I shift into the next gear the revs have already fallen way back down. I kind of understand the purpose of SRM, but I've never learned to heel/toe so maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks in advance

Pretty much, as soon as you down-shift, drop the clutch. No need to wait on the revs to drop at all.

are you shifting in the right rpm band? Downshifting is for more aggressive driving so in local i dont really see a big use in srm

...what TreeSemdyZee said.

Downshifting is for all occasions....what's the point in driving in the wrong gear (i.e. low speed in a high gear)?
