Agree, but that is an indirect effect, not direct. Unless you are sitted and parked, you shouldn't be soaking it anyway.

As per the service manual of the g37, these input parameters control the IGN timing
- Crankshaft position sensor (POS)
- Camshaft position sensor (PHASE)
- Mass air flow sensor
- Engine coolant temperature sensor
- Throttle position sensor
- Accelerator pedal position sensor
- Park/neutral position (PNP) switch
- Battery
- Knock sensor
- Unified meter and A/C amp
