Clutch pedal too soft/no feel? Remove the helper spring!

Hi, i went to Mcmaster-carr.com to look for a similar spring to the century spring. I found part number 9657K253. it's almost identical to the century spring same dims/spring rate

I found part number 9657K253. it's almost identical to the century spring same dims/spring rate and material but i'ts 12.12 per pack of 6. has anyone tried this spring? only thing i'm unsure is the Compressed length. it might fatigue sooner that the stock spring, but i doubt it.
