Cant really go wrong with either Mobil or Castrol though.

Well all I can say is never trust the dealership.

I took my 370z in to the dealership at 1500 miles and I specifically told him not to put in synthetic. Then the maintenance supervisor enthusiastically tells me the car has been serviced with synethetic oil when I pick up the car. I started complaining and he tells me all Z, even the 350's come synthetic from factory. Yarrrr

You will most likely find factory installed magnets in the automatic transmission oil pan too. I always switch out to a magnetic oil drain plug as it captures metal debris as the engine wears. Semtex, I like the quality of the ones in the link you pointed out, thanks! Which one did you order?

I ordered the "MAG-1", which is M12x1.25 thread. Sounds like the right one to me, haven't received/installed it yet.

You've ordered the correct one. I installed mine on Saturday and it fits perfectly.

Yeah, where the hell is Semtex when you need him? Out making videos?

I believe it is the M12 x P1.25, but if Semtex has traded them out it would be good to know his thoughts. And more importantly what color he ordered?!

I responded a couple of posts prior, Mr. Impatient!

Re. color, you don't get to choose. Each size has its own color -- I think that's so they can tell them apart. So if you order the size for Nissans (M12 x P1.25), you get red.

M12 x P1.25 is the one for Nissans. (They include a fitment chart on the web page.) It's the red one, in case you're wondering about color. I just did my first oil change this past Saturday and can confirm that it fits perfectly.

Btw, I also discovered that Courtesy is selling magnetic plugs -> CourtesyParts :: Magnetic Oil Pan Plug (But they're not a pretty color like the Kics ones.

)

5W30 is recommended, unfortunately the dealership I went to get my first change didn't completely tighten something and I found an oil puddle under my car, drove it back to the dealership and they changed it again, this time without any leaks.

Either they didn't replace the crush washer or they really screwed up torquing the drain plug.
