Z1 Motorsports 34-row oil cooler kit (any experiences?)

Oh the kit does fit the original engine oil filter, as I found out on the website. Z1 Motorsports 370Z Oil Cooler Kit

Correct. You can use either the OEM sized filter or the larger G37 Sedan oil filter which is slightly taller (more capacity).

This feature was something that was critical to us in the designing of the kit as most end users do not want to have try to remember or keep up with an odd ball (non-OE) oil filter number. The sandwich plate adapter (both thermostatic and non-thermostatic) are the same for all variations of Z1 Oil Cooler Kit. The only real major difference in each version is the actual core size and the type of sandwich plate adapter. These options are given for a few reasons, two primarily being:
  1. Customer needs - Driving style, enviornment, etc.
  2. Price - Each customer's budget is different.

I have the Z1 oil cooler on my 370 WITH twin turbos. Even during very spirited driving it rarely goes over 200 and as you know turbo's generate more heat than a normal engine. Even after 2 hours of straight driving it never went over 220. It works great!

I pretty sure I'd blow past 220 in a hurry on the track...I would have loved to have tried this cooler at some point though, maybe I'm wrong. Gotta daisy chain with a thermostatic adapter of some kinda...nom nom nom.

If it is Z1's oil cooler, I would put it in my car with out worrying about a review. They are great people to deal with and were always honest.

I don't care how big your oil cooler is you are going to go past 220 on this car on track if you drive with any ferocity. If you track regularly get the biggest damn cooler you can find.

So it said on Z1's website that the 34 row cooler doesn't work with the Stillen gen. 3 intakes. But it almost looks in the instructions that there is a 34 row installed with the Stillen intake. So could you confirm this for me? I know it said it could be relocated, but wouldn't that require different length lines? If it doesn't work, also it said the 25 row works with most intakes. So also does that one work with the Stillen intake?

I haven't tracked my car but have driven hard in 90 degree weather never going over 200 degrees. I installed Z1's 34 row cooler w/ thermostatic option. No problems at all!! Highly recommend.

Even with hardest I have pushed my Z, I broke 220 with the Stillen 25 row kit but it would not budge from there. I can only imagine the additional cooling needed for FI just based on N/A oil temps!
