What I don't understand is why the G37 does not have this oil temp issue and the 370z does. Maybe there is a reason the G37 fully loaded is 4k

What I don't understand is why the G37 does not have this oil temp issue and the 370z does. Maybe there is a reason the G37 fully loaded is 4k more then a fully loaded 370. Becuase there is no oil temp Gage in the G .

It does... It's the exact same engine... but there's no factory option that allows us G owners to monitor our temps, so the majority of people are completely unaware. Plus, we're less likely to track our cars.

It has the same engine and same problems, just doesn't have the oil temperature display hence 90% of the problem is solved right there.

If you attempted to track it you would have the same limp mode in the same amount of time. If you want to see the oil temp you should be able to read it off the OBDII port.
