If you get the Stillen front bumper you gain abour 15HP but only 9HP without the bumper as tested on a dyno by MotoIQ Review and Independent Dyno Test

The Stillen exhaust sounds absolutely great and adds about 18HP. The combo definitely pulls harder than stock.

Gas mileage is most likely the same.

Hi folks,
I'm a little disappointed thought I would get closer to17 Whp in gains!

From Stillen web site.

"The power result: A dyno-proven 20 horsepower gain at the wheels on the Dual Throttle Body 350Z, 18.5 horsepower gain at the wheels on the G37 Coupe and 17.5 horsepower on the 370Z. This translates to an estimated 20-22 horsepower gain at the flywheel! For G37/G35 Sedan owners, gains are 14 horsepower at the wheels. No other intake for the VQ can match these power gains!"

Never planned on having to buy a bumper just to get 15 WHP. Then how do i get to about 360 WHP with bolt on mods?

Anyway Stillen exhaust on order next week! Not sure on the HFC ? After the Stillen exhaust is installed will I even be able to take a stock Nismo?

Thanks,

Alex

The exhausts will help and the Stillen bumper anyways is "almost" required as it has special fangs directing the air to the oil cooler which you will need to upgrade and the Intake. I think it's well worth it. It looks amazing too.

I'll post pics once it's on mine.

You will definitely be able to take a stock Nismo. I would recommend sway bars and spring kit for handling.

My original concern was I didn’t want it to look to aggressive not sure how well made it is?
I would want to add a black grill plus the carbon fiber “Z “ badge to the front and back as well, if I ordered one .

Great , looking forward to seeing your pictures, may change my mind!

Thanks,

Alex

Not to rain on your parade but you should have researched this forum beforehand. Numerous people will tell you that the OEM intakes only become restrictive when compared to stock intakes at high RPM's (6800+). I don't recall reading a thread where someone made more than 10whp after getting these intakes. Did you get a baseline dyno before you installed the intakes? You mention you want to get to 360whp, to see how your car is responding to mods you really should have got a baseline dyno. 360whp will probably be impossible with bolt on's the most I've seen is 320whp. There are your factory freaks out there, I personally pulled 296whp with nothing but a set of test pipes on a dynojet.

You can go with the Stillen exhaust but there are a lot of exhaust options out there right now. Feel free to search or ask any of the members we're pretty cool about giving first hand reviews. Btw you might want a tune after installing the intakes, word is they tend to make you run kinda lean.

The special fangs are used for the brake duct kit. The stillen bumper has a slot open to the stillen intake making more fresh air come in.

Thanks,
It wasn’t that I didn’t read a lot of the postings on intakes , more like just misunderstood, I guess the total outcome of gains with these intakes and took for granted what was on the Stillen web site as actual gains if you but these intakes on. I still like them and think their better than most.

Oh, well!

Thanks again,

I know you guys have seen this a hundred times, but here’s my baby with the hood up showing off her Stillen G3’s CAI anyway!
Enjoy
Alex

I just installed my Stillen intakes an cannot get enough of the car at high rpms. It sounds much more aggressive and balanced, plus the car absolutely screams up top! The only thing I didn't like about the G3 intakes was the polished finish which I felt looks too cheap and gaudy so I powdercoated mine:
