Yes, they are pony cars and a different thing altogether than the 370z but they are right in the same price range. For balance let's also include the 135i. In fact I even considered all four of these cars and it's obvious which one I picked. I honestly have no regrets (although it may seem like it) but to be honest I'd feel better if the 370z made the same power (or even less -- as long as it was ~HR power) with a twin turbo setup. At least then bolt-ons and a tune would go a good length further.

But enough complaining, it's all said and done and my next car will most likely be a c6z06 but any time soon!

My father had an '03 350Z when they first came out, and owned it for years. One day, he got a little power hungry, well really power hungry, because he left one day with it and came back with a C6 Z51 Corvette. A few years later, he moved up to a C6 Z06. I remember a discussion we had about his 350Z when I bought my 370Z. He said, "although the Corvette's have way more power, I still miss the way my Z felt".

At times I wish I had a new 5.0, or Corvette, but at the same time, I really appreciate how the Z feels when you drive it.

I definitely agree with that. The Z does feel really great and is a well engineered vehicle. Heck, I may even end up keeping the 370z and getting a z06 as well or even an srt10 or acr viper. Really its up in the air and will most likely take a backseat to my next project car, so it'll be even longer before I make a decision... just going to enjoy the Z for now!

I have driven my fair share of Vettes (C5 and C6 Z06s). The power is really nice, however, I just do not feel as connected to the car as I do the Z. The Z is by far the more rewarding and fun drive.

That said, by the same margin the Z beats out the Z06 to me, the RX8 beats out the 370Z in terms of pure driving feel. I miss my RX8 for about 5 seconds, then drive and my Z again and forget all about the RX8.

Does anyone know what the 7AT is rated for horsepower and torque?

I'm sure a few bolt-ons like cold air induction and a cat back system would not overwhelm, but would you fry the AT with a Stillen supercharger or a twin turbo setup?
