Transmission Question

I have a 7AT in my z. Before this I drove a Slk 320 and didn't find this happening.

When Im coming to a stop it feels like the car is slowing itself down and the RPM's jump up a little bit.

I figured this was the automatic transmission down shifting but sometimes it happens and it makes it look like im not breaking properly.

On acceleration it jumps a little bit on the rpm gauge and then changes gears.

Just a question, I thought it was weird but maybe it is normal.

This 7 speed A/T is a 'sport' unit,not the same as the Mercedes 'smooth' unit,our unit 'lock up' soon after changing gears,thus a bit of shift shock,while the MB aim is the provide smooth shifting.
