Replace CSC, replace clutch at high miles and 6MT is good to go...for you guys just wait until your auto starts slipping

There you go, its really not all that big a deal this CSC issue.

Also, 6MT driving makes girls panties wet. No girl will ever tell you 7AT boys "Thats so hot, I wanna learn how to ride stick sometime"...."Sure, I'll teach ya"...

what boasting? never said i'm an ace on a track. my arguments have been strictly transmission based lol

someone seems a little butthurt. :bowrofl:

so who's your pitt friend? if they go to the track or do any events around here i probably know them.

Sorry, not updated location. I was in turkey the year before last year; for a year. That's why I sold my Z, I didn't want to take it there. Now I've been in Germany for the last year with 2 more.

He just moved up there. Drives a white 7AT with TX plates and runs HKS exhaust. Looks stock. That should give you a run for your money. "I've never been beat by another N/A"

And no one is butthurt. Just doing exactly what you're doing on here. At the end of the day, the 7AT requires no balls to drive, considering my mom drives one.

You don't have the mental capacity to tell your feet and hand to move in a specific order. Instead you have to rely on a computer to talk to the transmission...Stephen Hawking style.

It's okay though. No one faults you for that.

My wife prefers AT over MT

I'll just leave that right here.

haven't seen it yet and if it's just exhaust i'm not worried about it.

i know your mom drives one ;)

and i love how because i don't like manual transmission then by default "i don't know how to drive one" yet i just got rid of a MT M3 not too long ago as well as having multiple other cars throughout my life that were manuals.

also my hand/feet coordination is pretty damn good since I've played drums since i was in 5th grade so that point of yours is wrong as well :tiphat:

How did I get pulled into Presto's BS? I have always been and will always remain a MT guy. Sports cars should not come with AT.

As for the track we could run around the track but we're both MT and I'm far from a bolt on G.

I drive 6MT (as stated in my signature). Im just pissed about the CSC. Didn't know that AT guys have issues with trannys.

It's a bitch slapping contest. The MT guys use a stick and the AT guys have paddles. It seems like people should be tied up in the soundproofed basement of someplace in the North of England.

sidenote: i just heard that now the term "ladyboy" is offensive to that specific group. i always thought it was just how they were identified :bowrofl:

D.Stillwell 10-07-2015 01:37 PM

^^ you had an M3? E36 or E46?

And after that, being a manual m3, you feel the way you do about manuals? Doesn't make sense...

I for one can't believe that you prefer auto all of a sudden, considering the M3 has one of the best MT gearboxes out there..

I don't track the G. It's my fun car. I have a track car but it's about a month worth of weekends from completion.

E46 competition package, full cage, short throw shifter, tuned, had dumps on the exhaust as well lol

i liked it and it was fun. i have no complaints about it.

the DCT is a better tech and faster it's hard to argue wiggling a little stick and being slower or grabbing paddles being faster and always having 2 hands on the wheel for safety and control.

plus i live in PA. you try driving a stick DD with a million hill starts and commute traffic. gets old real quick lol

I live in VA....one of THE worst areas in the country for traffic! Lol You tellin me? I drive 80 miles round trip daily...of course, I do have an AT Maxima for those days I want to lay back and relax...

Usually people who use traffic or hills as an excuse for buying an auto dont drive manual very well, just saying...lol not trying to hate on ya but traffic or hills never bothered me

Far as your e46 story, I dont believe it. The getrag 6MT in e46 destroyed auto M3's...I know, my boy had one for a while.

because its aimed at the driver, but an auto version would certainly be faster As it is currently with the 2011-2014 5.0's and the S550 5.0's. In the mustang world of coyote and up its painful obvious how much better the AT is

I've driven through all of VA and family in NOVA so 95 and 495 nonsense when around DC area blows.

sad part i have the 7AT but never use D (full auto). i shift all day every day.

oh i know the 6MT in the e46 was dominant but i was speaking to now and the DCT the M3 has.

mishuko 10-07-2015 02:37 PM

i think people live in the past about certain things... for example let's use an 07 is250 vs an 08 beemer 3 series.

1 year different. 2 different cars, 2 different makers. the is250 had slack/delay during the 'manual shifting'. the beemie was faster. like damn fast.

now let's translate to a more recent version of the IS (14' i my experience) the manual shifting was a lot faster than the 07 version of the car. night and day.

just like how it's night and day between the whole at vs mt crank power drop of the has beens to now.

but i think we all know the real issue is that pansy is still hiding in the closet.... :stirthepot:
