Exactly. A sports car is supposed to be all about cornering and agility. Straight line speed is really pretty irrelevant. Look at the great British sports cars, like Triumphs and MGs. They didn't have even 100 HP but were a total blast on the twisties. Buying a sports car to drag race is bringing the wrong tool to the job. How many F1 cars do you see at a drag strip?

Kinda funny but our little 6 cylinder sports cars do very well out there Especially with the automatics.

Give it a try. You may turn hetro after a few passes. :nutswinger:

"Now in its sixth generation, Nissan’s iconic Z is a pleasing package of power and handling. It has one of the best V-6 engines in the business and a six-speed manual transmission with available rev-matching. The automatic, however, is not a willing partner in spirited driving, with slow shifts that detract from the fun." Quote from Car and Driver.

No doubt! It actually takes skill to shift a manual transmission smoothly and quickly. I don't need the car to do it for me. Been doing it all my life.

yeah it's pretty fun. there's nothing that says you can't be fast in the corners and in a straight line.

i've done pretty well against muscle cars in the 1/8th

BJ in an auto - no problem
BJ in a manual - could spell trouble.

How many F1's haul *** in the straights?
Where are the MG's and Triumphs now?
100 hp is still gutless no matter how good the twisties are.
The Z is very competitive quarter mile, auto cross, and track so rethink about the tool. It just may be the tool behind the drivers seat that's holding the Z back.

In other words, personal preferences for a clutch pedal notwithstanding, they're arguing it isn't as quick as a PDK.

Ok... :ugh2:

Similarly, they make reference to the "...hero-making SyncroRev rev-matching technology (which, of course, is defeatable for actual heroes)," indicating that only sopping wet, large labiaed vaginas would ever have the rev match turned on. Of course, those walking menstru-bots would at least secrete more testosterone than anyone with a quintessentially girly automatic.

Also, they claim a 0-60 for the Nismo 7AT of 4.6 (.1 sec faster than the 2009 auto, incidentally), but I didn't see a comparison with the MT, so...

Anyway, my guess is that even if they verified that the 7AT was faster than the 6MT, they would have made the same case in support of the MT because: Engaged; thing in hand; left foot moves. And so on.

I always turn off my SyncroRev, but I also inject 800mg of Testosterone weekly. Only big viginas drive automatic sports cars. Do you automatic guys even LIFT?

I am actually 5'9 230lbs. Been cycling for 8 years and I have used just about everything out there. Ran Tren A and Test P last summer running 100mgs of each EOD.

P.S. I know you didn't run that cycle or you would be driving a manual.

Injecting testosterone sticks back door huh?

Yea we give your gals a LIFT when you are pumping iron at the gym gawking over the guy with big muscles and a little pecker stareing in the mirror.

I prefer injecting shoulders and chest and btw it shrinks your nuts not your pecker

Weights or foot off gas :icon17:

Both, actually, FWIW.

My hefty and hairy balls provide sufficient levels of natural testosterone (whether or not it can compete with injections) to balance out the estrogen enhancing effects of an AT sports car -- although, really, the AT is actually no more estrogen promoting than, say, a bowl of tofu, so it's quite manageable.

On that note, injecting T will not only shrink your balls to the size of pistachios, but will potentially stimulate the growth of every cancer cell in your body, so... uh... good luck with that... :ugh2:

Anyone that thinks the automatic is faster, just lacks the skill required to shift a manual transmission quickly and proficiently. The automatic transmission in the 370Z isn't some technological marvel. You guys need to man up. Stop buying automatic sports cars and learn how to drive one :)

It is faster because you don't have to use the lame skill of shifting and using a Peddle. Show me that wheel hop, clutch burning, gear grinding, and tire spin every time and I will show you my tail lights every time. You manual guys love the view of rears anyways So what's the problem?

This makes no sense...

First, you seem to be calling the skill of proper MT shifting, lame. This coming from an AT ladyboy is too funny :icon17: People often make fun of what they can't do or don't have. So I guess I understand your frustration since you don't have an MT and can't drive one either ;)

Second, it's pedal :shakes head:

Nothing that dude posts makes any sense. Proper sentence structure and grammar were apparently not part of his education.

We do need to add peddle and pedal to tiggas thread though:tup:

Leroydsouza 04-06-2015 08:23 AM

Manual isnt lame. Manual is ******* fun.
However if you did not see it in the future that autos would eventually get faster thn manuals thn u were living in a cave.
Also there are many reasons people buy autos. Convenience is one of those factors.
I do knw how to drive manual, i initially wanted to buy a manual, unfortunately there was a 2 month wait, but now few months down the line, i do not regret my decision.
Manuals are definitely more fun.
Autos however are faster only because technology.
Even if its not technology, i highly doubt that everyone can do a perfect shift every single time at every single gear.i know i cant.
Autos, well they can.

Thank you for being the grammar nazi there jar. Unfortunately my smart phone isn't very smart with the auto correct Feature in which we all love.

I can also drive a manual and have driven plenty of them anywhere ranging from a mustang gt, an rx7, and the old 3 on the tree Chevelle. Driven a deuce and half in the military too.
Don't get high and mighty over your pansyassed hydraulic assisted little Short throw manuals that all cars have these days. They are almost as easy to drive as the autos. :stirthepot:
