Knock from the clutch pedal

I happened to be at the dealer today for an interior panel issue and spoke to the service manager. While scheduling an appointment with him I brought up the clutch problem. I haven't had time to go back and have this further troubleshot. The service manager indicated they had been working on another Z with he same knocking issue. The entire pedal assembly was replaced along with some shim modifications. The problem never has been resolved. I suggested it might be a hydraulic issue but he felt it was still related to the pedal. It seems there is too much play where the pin meets the pivot assembly. I will update everyone once they look at my car.
