Understanding oil is a complex issue. I believe true PAO synthetics are 100% non dino oil if that is what you are asking. This would include some upper tier 111, IV and above oils however, not all "upper" oils may be 100%. Different base stocks are also used. If you want to get into the break downs of each oil, I would go to bobistheoilguy and read a few of the posts. You will find more then you want about base stocks and their composition. Given its' complexity, oil needs it own forum at times..
