I sprung a big leak in a rubber braided hose going from my power steering reservoir to the power steering pump which has been relocated with my old GTM supercharger kit. The old push on and clamp down bulk hose is a Dayco TC4 which they don't make anymore. I did some research and it looks like a nitril/NBR type of rubber hose has very good resistance to ATF fluid. Does it really make a difference in durability if I use fuel hose vs a harder to find transmission cooler hose if they are both made out of NBR rubber? Modern fuel hose temperature ratings and PSI ratings exceed the specs of my old 15 year old hose, but I hear stories about not using fuel hose for power steering and its best to use transmission hose for durability. Not sure if that is still true in my case.
