S-Mode and gear indicator going out, lagging acceleration

Took it to a mechanic. He said he thinks the clutch is skipping. OS Giken STR installed March 2023 when my CSC went out again with the CMAK. Mechanic called and said the codes are telling him input/output shaft correlation or something to that effect and that he had to pull the transmission to check the clutch.

Called me on Saturday and said the clutch is burned. Can't tell me the cause (bad part, bad install or what) and is recommending a new clutch. I'm asking if an OS Giken overhaul kit would be enough but he's not sure nor the difference between overhaul kit A and B and if it the pressure plate is good or not.
