Default clutch flexible line change

I am in the middle of changing the clutch so transmission is out at the moment. bought a braided replacement line at the same time as the clutch. Is there a way to change the flexible line without taking out the driver's side cat converter? Spent about an hour trying to do it and can't see how to fit the wrench in there to detach the hard line from the flexible part, even removed the locking clip that holds the line in place to the bracket and lowered it a touch through the bracket. Maybe I should just live with the rubber line.

I did manage to change the line, without taking the drivers side cat out: what a bear to do: (some pics attached)

-first unclip the hardline out of the plastic clip
-remove the spring clip that holds line on the bracket
-lower the hard line through the bracket so that you can access the flare nut from bellow
-vice grip on metal body of flex line and 10mm flare nut wrench on flare nut
-swap the insulation to new hose
-install new flex line
-put back spring hold down clip, I used a 24" prybar through lower suspension arm and pushed/pried it in that way
