Are gearbox synchro's replaceable?

My gearbox grinds when shifting into 5th gear with a cold engine. I read that its a common issue. Can the synchro be replaced? A new gearbox from Nissan is

My gearbox grinds when shifting into 5th gear with a cold engine. I read that its a common issue. Can the synchro be replaced? A new gearbox from Nissan is over 5.000 usd in my country and used gearboxes are not available, or available at 2.500-3.000 usd. Ive read many people received new gearboxes under warranty, but car is from 2010 so no chance there. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
