Camshaft position sensor bad?

I replaced them camshaft position sensors...did not fix the problem.....thinking it may be related to the timing chain? Car just hit 100,000 miles.

I got it fixed. The cam shaft position sensors replaced corrected one of the problems.... But apparently the battery had low voltage even though I just bought it in 2018.....I had to pay a small fee as it was under warranty. ....Guess the battery is covered in full for 1st year and then pro rated every year after.

My car sounds like its doing the same thing yet no codes. After my foot hits like slightly around 1/4 throttle after 3k rpms the car like studders/bucks and doesnt go anywhere. Were these your symptoms?

I'm having this issue! Was on track today and in two sessions I spun because adding light throttle around 3500rpm caused the car to surge and then cut power. It didn't help I was running my slicks on a cold track because I didn't have time to get my wets on .

A race mechanic i know mentioned trying the camshaft sensors first. That's what I plan to do this winter, but won't be able to get the car on track until the season starts next year. .

Has anyone else found a definite solution??

Had a 2010 WRX- boy was it quick in a straight line, got a 2014 Z- man is she grippy in the corners-- then left the Z and later got a GTI, now back in an 09 racecar Z!
