Before assuming the module is bad, I'd check/test the wiring. A bad module could cause the U1024 but so can wiring; which would also throw the P1606. Easier to check

Before assuming the module is bad, I'd check/test the wiring. A bad module could cause the U1024 but so can wiring; which would also throw the P1606. Easier to check connectors and continuity than replace the module. YMMV
The FSM (link in sig) has test procedures and R&R instructions.
