Highly likely that cracking open the trans is taking you deep into the rabbit hole and the only thing down there is the dark.

Also are you sure you are not bouncing off the rev limiter with manual shift ??
Now I'm completely confused
But sounds true to me. When it happens I feel like VDC isn't completely off, like something is trying to hold the torgue and doesnt allow to accelerate or shift. My mates first asked me when they saw that: "Is your VDC off?" So I bet on yaw sensor now
