Replaced the diff a couple of times with a old style(bolts and nuts) and a newer style with only bolts that threaded into the diff axle. Old diff blew a pinion bearing and put in in a new Nismo diff instead.
Why go out and buy new bolts and nuts when you have everything there that you need. Like you said. The proper bolts are not that cheap. Reuse the stuff you got. And it's not that hard to swap the stubs in the diff to begin with.
