You definitely do not want one that is just an empty can unless you plan to modify it to add something to separate the vapors from the air (since that is the purpose of running a catch can). Almost all the super cheap cans will just be empty cans. The ones mlsully posted are empty, but they come with a little chamber you can fill with something to cause the vapors to condense and gather on.. most commonly people use stainless steel dish scubbing pads (pro tip: you can get them at the dollar store). So this type of can, while empty, can easily be adapted into being functional.

As far as the ones with the breather vents - if you are going to delete the PCV system you would run one of these with the breather vented to atmosphere though the filter... If you are going to add the can into the OEM closed loop PCV, you want one without the breather vent. Some can be configured either way.

Thanks for the information, very helpful. For the Catch Can you posted, do you only buy one?

I am going to run two...but you could run just one. just need to run the lines from both sides to the single can.

But the Can has 3 ports. Unless you have 2-port version, in which I would love to have the link, please.

Yup.. Has two in's and one out. I am going to plug one of the in's.

I can't remember where, but I did find the two port version unbranded, but it was more expensive so I bought the three port versions with the plan to plug the extra port.

I think I'll go this route myself too. Couldn't find the 2 port version, but I did find the one you linked on eBay for $30:

I will pair that with these SS hoses from eBay too, and I think I'm good to go:

Here are links to the fittings I ordered for this project... I didn't really like what was available in the plumbing section of the hardware store.

Stainless Hex plug

Brass beaded hose barb

Hope this helps someone following in the same path.

A little update on my progress #NobodyMoveThisIsAThreadJacking

I relocated/redid the filler neck for my DIY washer bottle to free up the passenger side airbox mount for one of the cans.

I also made up some aluminum mounting brackets for the cans themselves... today I'll pick up my grainger items but then this project will probably sit idle for a while as we are focusing on moving into our first home right now and I am going skiiing in Montana next week.

Does anyone know where I can pick up an assortment of the OEM-looking black spring hose clamps?

They have properly sized ones at my local Ace Hardware...but for whatever reason they are camo green and I feel like that would annoy me. I'll also see if Grainger has any that will fit (it does appear they have a few sizes available) when I pick up my fittings, but I would love to have a case of like 100 in assorted sizes. I have seen some inexpensive kits on amazon, but they are all gold colored and the reviews often speak of them breaking.

I just bought a Rampage Fab Combo Catch Can and am getting installed by them tomorrow morning. Cleanest looking set up IMO.
