Clutch assembly broke; dealer says $860
Attached picture shows the part (left one) that broke off from my 11 Z's clutch assembly. Dealer says that the whole assembly has to be ordered as it comes in a single unit. Quoted price is $860. What do you guys suggest? I can still drive the car just that the helper spring won't be there. Any other complications that could arise if I drive it just the way it is right now?

Isn't that just the helper spring that we all remove anyway? Did it come off the side of the pedal?

A lot of people remove it or change it. OP, you should be ok driving without it. If you rest your foot on the pedal you might have a bit more clutch wear because nothing is pushing you back. Also... If your CSC is on its way out, not having the spring may cause it to wear a bit quicker. Do yourself a favor, buy the RJM pedal, as well as a replacement HD CSC from ZSpeed for if and when your CSC goes out, lol

I removed that spring right after I bought my Nismo in 1/2012.

Yea definitely get the RJM assembly if you do need a new setup. And don't have the dealer install it. It took me about 2 hours to install but that was with tuning the settings on it. It's a completely different clutch now. I have a lower engagement, and a larger friction zone. Makes driving it a dream

I have a full stock clutch assembly let me know if your interested I am a few hours away from you. I just bought the RJM clutch pedal though I think my master cylinder was weak cause it has gone soft since installing the RJM clutch pedal. Not sure if the dealership will warranty that since the RJM pedal is on there? What do you guys think should I put the stock back on and take it in or say try it anyways?

You don't need the helper spring assembly at all. I removed the one on my old 370 and never looked back. Feel free to spend money and purchase the RJM clutch pedal assembly if it will make you feel better, but I doubt that you really need it.
