A lot of people remove it or change it. OP, you should be ok driving without it. If you rest your foot on the pedal you might have a bit more clutch wear because nothing is pushing you back. Also... If your CSC is on its way out, not having the spring may cause it to wear a bit quicker. Do yourself a favor, buy the RJM pedal, as well as a replacement HD CSC from ZSpeed for if and when your CSC goes out, lol
