OEM vs GTR Spark plugs for NA 370z w/ ecutek tune

Hey guys, do you recommend using GTR spark plugs on my Z? I recently got tuned and was told by the tuner to go with GTR plugs instead of OEM,

Default OEM vs GTR Spark plugs for NA 370z w/ ecutek tune

Hey guys, do you recommend using GTR spark plugs on my Z? I recently got tuned and was told by the tuner to go with GTR plugs instead of OEM, can any of you shed some light?

If you are N/A then no. GTR spark plugs are one step colder than those on the Z and you don't want to do that unless you go turbo/supercharger.

Hmm wonder why my tuner told me to do so. I was under the same impression as well.

Aftermarket tunes are usually leaner than the stock tune. That increases combustion temperatures and that may warrant going to a colder spark plug heat range.

Maybe but i hardly have seen anyone here recommending you changing to colder spark plugs with just a few mods and tune. Only the turbo and supercharged guys go with colder plugs.
