I have to agree. A poor battery can show near 12 volts but if it cannot produce enough current then this is why the starter clicks rather than cranking the

I have to agree. A poor battery can show near 12 volts but if it cannot produce enough current then this is why the starter clicks rather than cranking the engine over. Depending on how you boosted it you may have a dirty negative terminal (if you hooked booster cable to engine metal which is safecway). Most likely failing battery or the alternator is having trouble charging battery due to dirty connection at battery or it too is failing. As was said earlier a battery load test will probably give you the answers.
