Is this the same GC formula 0w30 or is it different? I tried the Mobil 1 0w40 once and though it did make the VQ sound much quieter it was much too thick.

it is NOT, the new GERMAN Castrol is now 0w40, that used to be 0w30 but with the new SN. I wouldn't say its bad because its made in belguim, but its not the same formulation and German Castrol we all know and love. I recently did the OC with 0w40, new german Castrol, and its performing beautifully
