The Base part # is 13231-EY00, but you need to measure and get the correct size. We normally just spec them out when we build the heads and order them. |
Ok gotcha, guess I'll just wait then. Thank you

Any updates on the stage 2 cam?

I called JWT and asked about the timeline for stage 2 cams last week and they said (and this is paraphrasing): its set to be looked at later this year but is not something I would hold your breath for to be released within this year. In a nut shell they were very vague and noncommittal to a time-frame, and that's understandable. They said they haven't started development but have plans to do so this year. And that's all understandable as we all know how we get when we are told a date then it takes longer.
What I pulled from the phone call was "if your planing on pulling the engine this year and want cams the ones that are out are the ones you get. If your not committed and want to wait a year, give or take, we 'should' have a stage 2 by then." Stage 2 is planed to be more aggressive and get the most they can get from the VHR. I asked if it was to be cut with more intention of being a FI cam or for NA and they said they wanted it to benefit both equally and not be bias more towards one than the other when it comes to it. So... take from that what you will. |

Do you know who you spoke with? As some of this info is not correct. -Daelen |
Mmmmm darnit. Well ill i don't mind the wait, as my build will occur at some point in time next year. If they don't come out guess ill just go with the bp turbo kit

Which info is incorrect? |
The gains would be nice, but seems like a tough sell for roughly $3500 dollars ($2500 labor + $1000 gestimate for cams).

100.00 an hour shop time is reasonable. |

Not sure why they need 17 extra hours |
Its 20hrs for motor pull or 10hrs to just install with motor already pulled. So $1800 at the cheapest for these. I do agree though i could beat 10hrs to drop it easy. Specially mine that has no evap lines etc and easy access.

Most people don't understand the complexity of the cam install on these heads

Thats awesome.you installed it yourself. How many hours, 30?
|
I know MA Motorsports quotes 20 hours to install a set of cams. That's via dropping the engine. For the work involved in both the engine drop and cam install, that's not unreasonable to me. I'm looking forward to seeing more data on both sets of cams.

That is where i'm going to get my cams and heads worked on, if the stage 2 cam ever comes out that is

Has anyone added these to a car with full bolt-ons already? Just wondering what kind of gains they got and how it affected the manner of the car?
