I have all the usual bolt-ons and am wondering what these cams along with maybe ported TBs, and upper/lower manifolds will do to a car that already has everythign else.

Interesting

Waiting on the results of those. JWT said the price will be the same, will benefit both NA and FI, and I can use the same springs from the S1's. No word on duration or lift. My motor is still on the engine stand so it will be easy to swap them out. I will keep everyone posted. |

I have ported upper and lowers 70mm TBs 3in intakes Aluminum driveshaft (I have a G37) 370's are CF stock. Before the cams and the mods above car put down 320/260 on a dynojet. |
Where did you get the 70mm TBs and intake? Do you have headers installed already?

3in intakes my friend at RZG is making for me. I will have a set of AAM 2.75 intakes for sale soon. My upper and lower was ported by Synolimit No headers yet I'm waiting to see what the Motordyne LTH produce. Wish they were out while the motor is still on the stand. |

So many rumors lol We have been working closely with JWT on both the C1 and C2s for the VHR engines. We will have the first few sets to test, and I will post results the same way I did with the C1s. The multiple cars we have with C1s, including the initial prototype set are off and running well with zero complaints still. To dispel some of the rumors, final specs have just recently been decided for the C2s, they have not been released to anyone. So if someone told you some, they are most likely just making them up, or got a vague answer from JWT and took it their own way. The prototype sets will be to be in my hands between 50-80 days from today. I have already lined up 2 cars that will be in the shop for testing, an NA car that is fairly stock with basic bolt on's (We will also be doing a set of long tubes after the initial test to see the changes, as that will really make the cams shine) and a turbo car we are building in house(Built motor, Fast Intentions Stage 3 kit). There are 1-2 sets that we may also send out for external testing but that is honestly undecided at this point, as we dont really want to send out an un-tested part but we will see. If anyone has any specific questions, you can PM me or post here, I will answer to the best of my knowledge as much as I can. -Daelen |
I wasn't told any specs figured they wouldn't tell me anyway if I asked. Only posted what I was told by JWT when I called yesterday nothing was made up.
I have the C1's in my motor now waiting to install don't want to install the motor if the C2's are better NA than the C1's (not going FI). Which was why I asked JWT if they were better suited for NA or FI he told me they work with both. JWT said if I can wait on my motor install which I can to see what the results show in a few weeks. I'm just giving a status on my build. |
None of that was aimed at you directly, I just wanted to clear the air as I keep getting calls from people with very false info on these. I just dont want people to be miss informed or waiting on a product for a few weeks, when in all honestly it will be a few months.
Also, unless you have long tubes the C2s are not going to work as well as they should. With a larger cam like this the engine will really need to breathe. -Daelen |
[QUOTE=denchan350gt;3501830]I got the TBs from EPS tuning had them for about a year.
3in intakes my friend at RZG is making for me. I will have a set of AAM 2.75 intakes for sale soon. What do these 3" intakes look like? Are they designed like the AAM intakes, just with a thicker pipe? Are the 70" TBs made to fit 3"? |
Based on rules for TT at my current weight I need 16 more HP. I'd love cams but idk what to do at this point. I've tried E85 on uprev and lost 12hp. $800 for ecutek doesn't sound appetizing. Uprev claims huge release soon but I doubt a tune/timing/fuel etc will net 10hp. Only cheap thing I could try is maybe bigger TB's and go back to larger intakes. Other than that I'd love a cam that should produce a result unlike keeping my fingers crossed on a tuning package.

If I could pick up 40who/40wtrq from Larger TBs, larger intake piping, ported upper/lower manis and the Cams for about $5500 all in (including labor and tune) without it sounding bad (the 'lobe lobe lobe' sound I've heard from some other cams), I am probably in. I know that's asking a lot, but that's what it would take for this investment to be worthwhile to me at this point. Any knowledgeable people think that is reasonable or possible?
These are my hopes/expectations for gains Stage 2 cams - 20whp, 35wtrq (seems like a lot, but they're saying the stage 1s gained 30 so...) Ported upper/lower mani - 7whp 70mm TBs - 6 whp Larger CAI piping - 4 whp bump (top end) from losing the m370 - 5 whp Trq from combination of piping, TBs, upper/lower manis - 10 wtrq total - 42 whp, 45 wtrq end result - 350+whp, 310 wtrq for under 6k Is this a pipe dream? |
