Also will the cams change the idle sound?

You know it's about a 2,000 dollar install? So i wouldnt recommend it, unless you're planning on doing some major to end work, or money isnt an option.

What angle is it? Any idea how it compares to the JUN 282 degree cam? Thanks.

There is a bit of cam hickup at idle but nothing stellar...will pass for stock to the untrained ear.

Torque increase is noticeable while driving for sure...especially on the low end, if you look at the graph around 3500rpm there is a bump of about 20ft/lbs; as most daily driving is done from 1000-4000rpm its a nice addition.
I'd expect gains to be larger with a set of proper headers but the goal of this test was to put them in a 'typical street z' and see what they would do... that being said this car still has factory headers, which are shorties.

I would be interested in one to match a NA stroker motor build at high compression. JWT have anything in the works for that?

Well I've found a shop on this forum to do it for $1600

Heads inspected and cleaned
Heads redecked
Ported exhaust and intake runners
3 angle valve job
New OEM Valve stem seals installed
Valve Stem Heights set
Cold Clearance set for stock cams
Heads prepped and assembled
Cam install.

Money doesnt grow on trees but at the same time i purchased a 2k exhaust, 1k intake. Just gotta save and do what makes you happy.

30 ft-lbs of torque is a real nice gain. Damn you guys. I thought I was done modding my car.

This cam set is a 'mild' cam, we'll be working with JWT again on a new set of cams which will be more aggressive than these.
Think of these as S1 cams, next set will be S2 and so on...in theory we can only improve on these as in the grand scheme of things these are not crazy at all.
So long story short, yes, there is something in the works more aggressive.

Guess i'm going to have to talk to my Seb@specialtyz and see what he will charge for install..

Any idea as to when the cam will be available to buy?

ANMVQ 09-24-2015 10:46 AM

guys are really considering this :/

30 WHTQ for 25HRS of labor ,what's that like cost like $2,000 plus parts and misc crap , I'll pass, waste of $$$

Elmo370z 09-24-2015 11:09 AM

You can blame nissan for making the heads so complicated. It's not a bad mod, just its labor intensive, or just download an fsm and do it yourself. For 1600 you can have these cams installed with built heads.
