Clutch got stuck, should I be worried?

As an update, the dealership ended up just replacing the fluid and it works great now. I realize this might just be a temporary fix but I had him triple check the CSC and he said there wasn't a leak at all and that he recommended at least trying to change the fluid, and I wasn't about to argue with the mechanic on something I don't know anything about. If it does fail again at any time I'll be sure to have the CSC replaced, but at least I know that I should be using the GTR fluid with how I drive my car.

I'm sorry but that mechanic is just feeding you bull$hit. The CSC is located inside the bell housing of the transmission and requires several hours of labor to remove the transmission and bell housing cover in order to visually inspect the CSC. So unless you paid him somewhere in the neighborhood of $700 to drop the transmission, there's no way he checked the CSC.

All he did was look at the transmission from below and note there was no fluid leaking out of the bell housing.

Damn....this is exactly why I wish I knew more about this stuff lol.

As long as you didn't pay them for something they didn't do it's not really a big deal. Plus, the CSC doesn't have to be noticeably leaking to cause problems anyway. Getting better fluid in the system is definitely a good thing. Just don't expect it to solve the problem.
