Fine with the black, both do the same and the black is proven to slightly lower the temps on anything.

If your address is residential, FedEx Home Delivery will probably try again tomorrow. I believe you can call 1800 go fed ex 24 hours if you wanted to check or ask them if you can pick it up at the local station

Same here. I will most likely have to have phunk release it to my local fed ex office because they won't leave it without a signature.

Actually you do that online. Track the package and then click the button that says customize delivery.

Got mine this morning. I need to get some oil in (Amsoil), time for an oil change. I will be installing an oil cooler at the same time.

pictures!!!! I know I have them here to look at all I want, but getting customer photos is sort of like getting a post card from my parts! I like seeing them out in the world.

Would love to send photos, but FedEx won't release my package to me without signature and won't hold it at a FedEx office down the street that is open past normal working hours. I hate FedEx! PM coming your way.

I'm in the same boat. They won't hold it so I can pick it up. Only options for delivery are for me to pick a day where I stay home all day or redirect it to a new address. Both cost me money to do.

After like 20 minutes of arguing with them because they have no idea how to properly explain anything, what they are now telling me is that they WILL hold it for you at a FedEx store, but that they will not transfer it to a different store.

They now said that it will be held for 7 days at a building at 1525 Woodson Rd that is open 8-8

They wont tell me any more details and said that some account representative is going to contact me tomorrow with more details.

In your case, they wont hold it at all, or they wont transfer it to a different store?

This is all very odd I ship anywhere from 10-25 packages a week FedEx all require signature delivery and only these oil pans are having problems LOL

I tell you guys what, those damn FedEx people on the phone really know how to piss a guy off. I havent been this heated up and pissed off in a very long time. I have been 100% happy with them up until right now and they just got me to damn pissed Im thinking about canceling my account and calling my CC company to cut them off.

LOL, Calm down Dirty Harry. No need for this little bump in the road to get you going. It's all good. Guess I am lucky, I am just about there first stop. They are better than UPS most of the time.

Failed delivery today cuz i was at work. Checked options for delivery since I won't be home during the day. Only options are to have it delivered at a different address or schedule the day I want it delivered. Both options require paying a fee.

Dude I hear ya! I spent 15 minutes arguing with this lady and she would not budge!! I've never had an issue with UPS - they always are willing to move the package to one of the many local UPS stores so I can go pick it up Saturday. Some are even open Sundays.

My bare pan with plugs arrived today unharmed. It is a beautiful piece. The little one-way flapper baffles are precision fit, move with no bind and make solid click against the stop when slamming shut. Neat design, Charles.

Thank you! I just made 12 more pans!

Those flappers are a hassle! I need to figure out something with my laser cutting guy to handle them so they dont require all the hand fitting work.

Thread Update:

The Pre-Sale is now all caught up and run its course.

I am happy to say this product is now a standard product. The first post has been updated to reflect this. Pans are in stock. The webpage was updated to accept standard orders. There are 2 pans in stock right now, and more that were just machined and will be ready for shipping in a couple weeks.

We can keep this thread going for any questions comments etc. I am going to ask an admin to just remove the "Prototype" word from the thread title.

Lastly, for those of you having trouble with FedEx. I am about to call them again and fight it out some more to figure out what their problem is.

I just went another 10 rounds with FedEx... they are done-zo. Took off my credit card authorization and probably got myself put on speaker-phone for the entire call center's amusement.

Todays outgoing is the last of FedEx from me.

What I've done is have packages held at a FedEx Office location which has always been free. Is that not an option?

Always was before. Now they just tell me there is a restriction and they will not allow it. What they will not tell me is what the restriction is, or why, or who placed it, or anything at all. They will not explain anything, they just say that they cannot and will not and that they are going to send the package back to me and bill me for shipping it anyway.

So would it be cheaper for me to just redirect it to my office? I think that option was like $10-15. I actually would have originally asked you to ship it there had I known it was going to require a signature.

At this point I am not entirely sure what the options are. When I look at your package, I have all the same restrictions that I had on ENT-Z's where they wont let me make any changes... and after 4 phone calls with lots of yelling I am convinced that they are never going to explain to me why they are doing that with these packages. If they will let you redirect it, that might be the only way to actually get it from them before they send it back to me.

I ended up canceling todays outgoing with FedEx and printed UPS labels for that stuff and still got it out! F FedEx! They are done.

Damn I was going to change my shipping address to my business that is open from 4am-8pm with someone always there but you already shipped out today. Hopefully UPS wont give me the run around. Tracking number?

They are automatically sent via email, so you might want to make sure you arent blocking emails from UPS. Edit oops I didnt realize the UPS tracking pages displayed personal information. Ill PM it

Well this morning there are no options for customizing delivery. Before the top two options on the left were available for a fee. I guess cuz today is the final delivery attempt that is no longer an option so I guess it's coming back to you.

When it arrives give me a call and we can sort out what to do. To limit the hassle I'd prefer we ship it to my office next time.

I tracked it and those top 2 options are available again. I called FedEx and they said your package will be sitting at a station in Houston for a week where it can be picked up unless someone tells them to return to shipper (which is an irreversible process I have learned with ENT-Zs shipment, they wont even talk to me about it since his hit return to shipper status). I am still trying to get them to allow it to be held at their store locations but I have no idea if I will get anywhere with it. I just spent another 20 min on the phone with them today.

Roger that! Called and got the address. I can pick it up tomorrow or Saturday between 8AM-3PM.
