What are the two metal "tubes" for? They sort of look like long washers. I assume they go somewhere on the oil pickup, but before I drop my pan and get started, I want to know what everything is.

The drain plug does not have a magnet.

There are 2 extra drain plug washers included but I am not sure what the tubes are you speak of, they didn't come with the pan whatever they are.

Should be hearing back from the anodizer today or tomorrow I expect.

I was there yesterday to drop off some fuel pumps. The manager was out at lunch, so I didnt get to talk to him, but from the doorway I did see my batch of black anodizing parts hanging on the racks in-between stages. So I know they are working on the stuff and once they get that far it generally goes really fast.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully if the black pans are in process the blue pans are nearing completion as well.

Mine is black. Although the blue turned out really awesome and all my theme is blue.

The link has changed to only accept new orders, so I have to manually process orders where the deposit was paid.

I will need until Monday to get caught up though... I just got a decent supply back from the anodizer and a LOT of it was spoken for and needs to be photographed before it heads out too.

Heres a couple semi-edited pics of the anodized pans, have to finish cleaning up the white background I think. Hard to tell on this junk monitor I have LOL.

Anyone with an anodized pan - make sure to never use brake cleaner on it. Super aggressive cleaners like that will totally screw up the anodizing.

It's such an extensive project for a company as small as mine that I have been pushing it back until the timing was just right... I couldn't let it stop the presses here and hold up the bread and butter work and some of the shorter projects.

However I still have all my CAD work for it and I am feeling like there is going to be some clear skies ahead shortly to give me opportunity to work on it more.

Yup there are still 4 unanodized ones here waiting for their respective buyers to clear their balance! Yours paid almost entirely now. It can go out next week!

If you want yours anodized, it can be done in the next batch... it just will be a couple weeks or so before we take in another batch, and I dont know yet if we will be doing black or blue or both... currently I predict just black in the next batch.

Hey guys. Got a text from phunk. He said that he no longer has access to the forums. So he can't post anything. The admins haven't responded to his e-mails, and won't let him active a new account.

He said that you guys can e-mail or call him if you want to talk to him. He's not ignoring you all.

I have no idea on what's going on......???????????????

He said that the forum logged him off and can't log back on. His password doesn't work.

He also said that the anodized pans are ready, and started shipping today. Anyone paid in full will have tracking by Wednesday. ;)

I'm back for the moment! My iPad at home is still signed in.

My cell phone and work iPad and PC were logged off for some reason and I cannot reset my password because the forum emails don't work.

At any rate, anodized ones already started shipping and anyone paid in full will have tracking by Wednesday

jrb55gh Wants to switch from black anodized to raw, JapanJay has mentioned wanting to switch from raw to anodized. If JapanJay would like black anodized, I can switch the 2 pan orders. I am waiting for confirmation from JapanJay as I haven't received a PM back about it.

how about trying to reset your password on the ipad that is working, then signing on with the new one? Of course, you risk losing total access if that goes badly

I tried that originally but you have to have the old password to change passwords when logged in... If you don't know the password, which I don't because it's randomly generated, you have to do it by email.
