Where do you idle?

I have this weird issue after getting a p0300 code. My idle is normally around 600(Manual trans) but when the ses light came on my idle danced around 1000-1100 and

My idle is normally around 600(Manual trans) but when the ses light came on my idle danced around 1000-1100 and my gas mileage SUFFERED. I use my obd2 to reset the light and everything is fine...3 months later the light comes back and the same idle issue resurrected??? I reset and immediately all is fine again. Should I do something about this? Bone stock besides k&n typhoon intakes.
