Default Burning with Ester

I switched from Mobil 1 to Nissan Ester at Nissans' recommendation.
I've had to add 1 1/2 quarts since my last change, and I'm still over 1k before I'm due for the next change. As well, I usually oil change early.
I've run about 13,000 miles, dd, and have only required a light top-up, before changing to Ester. Would appreciate your feedback, whaddya think, seals seating or is this excessive?

No leaks anywhere? Checked under the shroud? Sounds strange...

Overfilling can cause burning. Did you check the level after the change?
I'd suggest doing a complete drain and refill.

Why did Nissan say to run their oil?

No leaks. No overfill. The dealership recommends Ester for Maxima and 370Z's. Why the change? Don't know.
Yeah, may drain it and refill with Mobil 1. I also noticed everything under the hood was much hotter than I remember it being before the Ester.

That doesn't sound right. Hmmmmm...there should not be a heat difference.
