If you want to remove the spoiler entirely, it may be easier to find someone with the same color hatch in a base model and trade them your hatch with spoiler for their hatch w/o spoiler. Nice DIY, OP. I think that most people who break it during removal just get impatient or don't use the fishing line method. That tape is strong stuff.

![]() The tape is tough stuff and you definitely need to cut it with fishing line then a blade of some type. I can see where people see it starting to separate and think they can just muscle it off, but the tension will build and break it once you get toward the middle. |
