DIY: Weight reduction/Fix hatch not opening issue

So I added 2 nickels to the bottom of each spring and it worked! Finally I don't have to use both hands to open my trunk! Hopefully it stays this

Finally I don't have to use both hands to open my trunk! Hopefully it stays this way Thanks again for this DIY fix/mod! I was very hesitant to take the panel off myself because of the clips, especially those white ones! Was going to bring it to stealership to get it looked at, but I just went ahead and did it; and I'm glad I did! DEpointfive0 likes this.
