Just did mine the other day. IMO one of the highest-impact, lowest cost mods going...if you DIY. I didn't go with any LED's, mostly due to long-term concerns, but I did highlight the rings in red to contrast with the black lenses, gun metal housings, and carbon fiber accents (including the landing strip. I think it came out even better than I anticipated.
Thanks for the write up on how to open these lights. I wouldn't have done it without you. Now I just have to figure out how to give some rep!

Okay, still new here. Figured out the REP thing. Thanks for the info, Caravan. I wouldn't have attempted this without your write up.

Those look Amazing! I cant wait to do mine. Very creative Did you just use some of the 3M carbon (sticky) and cut it out so it would fit. Loving the look.

Yep. I was very happy with the 3M Di-Noc CF wrap. It's 3d and replects light really well. Easy to work with and sticks great.

I'm about to tackle my headlights this weekend, have them out at the moment.

Holy crap are the 370Z headlights huge lol. Barely fitting in my oven when I test fit last night.

Anyways I'll post pics on my process and finished job

YelloGixxer, I don't know if red would've been what I went with, but charcoal is tough, so I understand why. The CF strip looks good, a nice little touch!

What's everyone been doing oven wise, as in temperature and time?

I bought the car with a 3M clearbra on the headlight as well as bumpers. Would it be safe to bake the headlight housing with the 3M clearbar on it? I'm kind of worried it would melt...

I'm guessing that it'd melt. Try finding the temperature range on their website.

I did 250 degrees for 10 minutes. I was afraid to go longer, but probably could have. After 10 mins I did have to still use a heat gun (hair drier) to separate the bottom.

A couple more minutes in the oven would have probably worked, but baking headlights is stressful!!

Noice job! I may be tempted to go with blue accents on the rings for my PG.
