I don't really know I was heating it for more that half an hour and the silicon wasn't melting raised the heat and kinda ruined the sides a lil bit but you can't see it when lights are installed

so I didn't want to damage it more, put back and I'll try to get some help next time.

hmm I used a heat gun, I was afraid the oven method would not melt the glue or toast the plastic housing.

quick question. i reinstalled the headlights, however there are gaps (pretty large ones) between the lights and the fenders.

all the screws and everything lined up so i figured i was good, and put the bumper on, however there are gaps. it got dark out so i couldnt play with it.

is there adjusting i have to do to make these lights fit flush?

Same thing happened to me on the one and I ran out of time. Had to throw it back in the oven i had 1 part of the light that had got caught on something. Everything looked good until it did not line up when I installed in.

yea if the housing is not correctly positioned with the lens then the gap will be there... If your screw holes line up but there is a gap then its definitely the housing and lens positioning. Simply put back in oven and then try to slide it into place, if that still doesnt work then simply seperate the two and check for objects in the silicon. Once checked, place back into oven for a little bit of time since u just took it out and then place lens on again.

Now, if your screws arent evening lining up then take headlight out, check back of housing to make sure nothing broke and carefully line-up all the bolts to the holes on the car. Also be sure to slide the headlight in as there is a black piece that has to be sled in a certain way.
