Here's an idea - if you fit the dual colour strips and wire them into the turning signal then do you still need the turning signal at the top of the lights? (I guess that's down to your local laws and regulations).
Taking that further, how about making the original turning signal a parking light. That might mean you don't need to put a halo there. Taking it further again, you could then do what you want with the original parking light (maybe a different colour LED) or just leave it blank. Sorry - I'm getting carried away! But you see how I mean the possibilities are endless? I don't think I'm ever going to decide!
