Tired of that boring looking transmission, but you don't want the hassle of a manual? Look no further! Rep please lol

So what I ordered was the OEM boot and bezel from my dealerships parts department.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_1816.jpg
First thing you do is pull down the base of the shift knob.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_1604.jpg
Then you pull that spring clip off, which will allow you to take the knob itself off.

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_2010.jpg
Then you pull the bezel up. You don't have to yank it, it comes up pretty easily.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_2895.jpg
Now let's take a look at the OEM boot assembly.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_9352.jpg
If you turn it upside down, you'll see that the bezel is actually two pieces screwed together. Unscrew all the screws.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_6220.jpg
Now you can pull the boot out.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_3132.jpg
Next, lay the boot over the gearbox. Try to tuck it in as deep as possible. No matter what you'll have enough slack to freely shift.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_4272.jpg
The best way to put the bezel on is to hold the boot in place with one hand and lay it down. Try to make sure the stitching on the boot matches the positioning of the stitching on he bezel.
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/IMG_6994.jpg
Now put the shift knob back on.

Voila! Enjoy your sportier looking car :)

Cant you just change the hole unit? meaning take the automatic unit out with the thicker edging and change it for the manual part you bought?

Gotta write this down so I make sure to get the right one. Gonna go by a dealer... hell, right now and see when they could get one. :rofl2:

Do you know what the specific name is for this part so I can explain it properly? :icon17:
