Final fitting done, added a new shift knob this evening. The carbon fiber was done by Tony at Carbon Fiber Element, great guy, awesome work. Thanks for this mod Baer383, I hated the look of the oem shifter.

When I have some time and a 'knob in hand' I'll see what I can do with this. I will make it work... Somehow. :tup:

Is there a way to get a few side shots of this. I'm curious to how high up the knob sits, would it be comfortable to shift through when sitting or is it too high...

Ill get some side shots later this evening, its a tad high but not awkward at all. I could always shorten the stalk but I dont think I will.

If pics don't post.. little help appreciated, I made a folder here for them too :confused:

Upload them to photobucket or something like it. Or just load them with the attachment tab.

Looks good. :tup:

Is the knob fixed to the shifter, or is it free floating and you just have to remember not to pull it Up? :icon08:

Not for a while most likely. Moneys tight and with 2 writing heavy classes right now I have Zero free time to work on it. Prolly won't be a project for later in the year. All of my funds right now are saving for when I can get my wing installed.

I don't sleep enough as it is, lol I don't need anything taking More of it away... :bowrofl:

I'd really like to do the Balance PW:JDM knob like Phelan has. I really like the look of it, just trying to figure out how to make the AT shifter shorter so it doesn't sit so high.

@xwchriswx
Is the knob fixed to the shifter, or is it free floating and you just have to remember not to pull it Up?

Its affixed with a collar that tightens the bottom and top wrap around and are threaded and there is a spring inside. I love it as my first real knob on an A/T but will need more time with it to know its faults. For now though its perfect. I wish we could lower the stalk but apparently thats a big no with our car and I wont argue with those more savvy than myself.
